PROJECTS
New Projects
Any members who have
some spare time, or who want to help with some of the projects that need to
be done, can choose from the following list. To insure that you will
have the materials that you need, check in the storage shed first, or bring
them with you when you come.
Materials that have been pre-approved for purchase either by the Commodore
or the Grounds Chairman, will be reimbursed by the treasurer upon proof of
an original receipt. As jobs are completed, please sign your
name and date next to these items. We want to keep this current, as we will
access this list on our website.
Please e-mail suggestions or other ideas for improvements to the
Webmaster.

IMPROVEMENTS 2004
WSA would like to thank
the 16 members who helped put on the new roof. It was tough going that
first day in 90 degree heat, while on the following Saturday we could see
our breath! We ended up replacing most of the plywood, and a few rafters,
and the skylights had to be removed and reinstalled. A special thanks to
the following members who gave up two Saturdays, working until 5pm to
finish the job: Tom Keevan, Tom Pezzella, Bob Cloman, Bob Gurlitz, Henry
Neeser, Roger livingston. Also, we're indebted to Bob Cloman for being
the general contractor on the job! Special thanks to Sally Mitchell who
worked hard, side by side with us, on the roof! See photos below.
ABOVE:All we had to do was put this stuff on the roof.
Stripping the old stuff was no fun at all.
And it was HOT!!!!

WE HAVE A NEW
COMMITTEE BOAT
At the Spring Banquet ,
The Association voted to begin a fund for a new Committee Boat, as ours was
30 years old. The first year, we put $2,000. aside, and we also
approved of buying a good used boat if the right opportunity presented
itself. It shortly did, as our neighbor was selling his. We bought the 20
foot pontoon boat, with a 35 hp motor, for $1,500. The boat needs a little
cosmetic work, which some of our members said they could do, and the motor
probably could use a carburetor tune up. For now, we have our old motor on
this boat. This boat is in good , sound condition, with legitimate seats,
plenty of storage, a canvas top and a good working area on the bow for the
racing buoys, etc.. We also sold the old pontoon boat, so everything worked
out well, and at a great price. Thanks to Tom Pezzella, Norm
Cloutier, and Roger Livingston for taking care of this.
