What's New in 2009
As you can see, 2009 has been a very busy year for the association and members. We have new window decals for your car, boat or house. They are located in the Anchorage and the cost is $1.00 for extras, but 1 free to each membership. If you haven't gotten your new decal yet, get one today!
We also had a new wall installed in front of the deck. The new wall makes the view from the lake much more picturesque and will help prevent future ice damage. A new bimini top for the association Race Committee boat was purchased and the drysailing boat ramp was resurfaced. Two new docks and a loveseat were added to the waterfront for a cool seat with a nice view. All the picnic tables have been re-stained, as well as the steps leading to the docks, and extensions to the sail loft racks were made for more sail storage. A fir post and rope fence was constructed along the top of the retaining wall. The nautical theme gives the area an aesthetically pleasing look while adding security.
We've also purchased several useful tools for use on the property: the leaf blower will make fast work of cleaning the patio; the 100ft. extension cord can also be used for the electric weed trimmer.The inflator, with attachments for rafts and dinghies, will inflate those flat trailer tires in the yard. It is both AC(please recharge after use) and DC so that you can plug in to your car's cigarette lighter. The submersible, battery- powered water pump, for those boats w/o drain holes, should last all season.
In addition, a new flag that was donated by Representative Paul Kujawski (Dem. Webster) who has worked hard for lake-related issues, and has been instrumental in helping the Webster Lake Association acquire monies for weed and sediment control, and water quality testing. He honored the request of the WSA and obtained a State of MA flag for the Spring Banquet in 2009.
